When it comes to catching up with friends, there is something about a lovely home cooked meal that is
much preferable over a meal or coffee at some restaurant. So when my good friend Lana, decided we stay in, of course I jumped in excitement because she’s a bloody good cook (Mashallah).
It’s been a while since we hung out and after her travel to India, I was keen on hearing the adventure tales and foodie finds she came across. India is one of the many countries on my travel bucket list, but for now, I can soak it all up through her stories. I walk into her lovely home and immediately get a waft of the grilled sweet potato and quinoa being plated. The way her home is designed and put together is the perfect reflection of her as a person. Colorful and bright with a touch of funky, vintage flair. She has a knack for picking the unusual (see road sign on the last picture) and turns it into an object to adorn her space. We spent the afternoon eating, talking and flipping through “India” ‘s Phaidon published cook book.
Lana’s food is also the perfection combination of healthy and yummy. Clean eating approved 🙂 Im always inspired to replicate and make my own version of healthy eats that i will blog about in due course. For now, enjoy the virtual eating.
